Italian Scotland Supports Good Causes
Italian Scotland continues to support good causes and charities. So far this year we have donated £1,650 and pledged £500 more. 🎉🙌
The most recent donation was £300 to the Italian theatre group Compagnia Artistica Gaudeamus who performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival also this year with the brilliant play ‘No Shakespeare’.

Earlier this year we donated:
- £350 to Cancer Research UK .❤️
£500 to the Uncle Bob’s Italian Cycle (The Ben): Robert “Uncle Bob” Taylor, an 80-year-old Glaswegian who completed a 200-mile cycling challenge through the hills of Tuscany, Italy, in late May 2025. This was his 40th annual fundraising ride for The Benevolent Society of Scotland (The Ben), a charity supporting people in the hospitality industry. The ride celebrated the cultural connection between Glasgow and Barga, an Italian town with a significant Italian-Scots community. 🚴🇮🇹 - £300 to bring The ‘Badly-Behaved Poets’ Society’ at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.
- £200 to the restoration of the historic Arandora Star Mosaic (Italian Garden Improvement Group).
Next month we will donate £500 to the children and parents of the Italian classes run by Girotondo Italian School .🇮🇹📚
And of course we will share the proceeds of the Festa Italiana Glasgow next month with the The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.
All this thanks to the amazing people support we received!
Grazie mille a voi e alla vostra generosità! ✨
