It’s August and the new season of Italian Scotland events begins soon. And what a start we have prepared for you! Please join us on Tuesday 25 August 2026 at The Glasgow Art Club & Gallery 185 Bath Street, Glasgow G2 4HU, as we launch a new initiative – Friends of Italian Opera.

Launched in collaboration with Scottish Opera, the aim is to support the production of Italian operas within the Company’s Season.

Guests will enjoy a welcoming drink followed by a programme of well-known arias from some of the most iconic Italian works before hearing about the new project.

Tickets cost just £10 and limited numbers are available so book early to avoid disappointment.

• 6:00pm Doors open 6pm for drinks reception
• 6:30pm Musical perfonmances
• Introduction by Ronnie Convery, Honorary Consul of Italy and President of Italian Scotland
• Formal launch of the new Friends of Italian Opera.
• 7:30-9:30pm Bar open for guest networking and opportunity to view current gallery exhibition.
